One year ago, we met at an in-real-life (‘IRL’) singles event. Both are tired of dating apps. Both hoping for something real. We found each other. But we also found something else: the event was pretty awkward. No activity. Just singles forced to small talk. We left thinking: “There’s gotta be a better way.”

What if people met while doing something fun? What if connection happened naturally, not forcefully? What if dating was the byproduct, not the point?That’s how @theloamcollective was born.
